1. Who is responsible
Globalee operates Globalee Solutions and is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. This notice is intended to align platform handling with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and other applicable requirements.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, account type, authentication and security records.
- Practitioner verification: profile, identity and authority evidence, licence or brokerage information when provided, review decisions, and status history.
- Listing data: descriptions, media, prices, areas, amenities, approximate and protected location details, availability, ownership or mandate evidence, and revision history.
- Payments: order references, amount, currency, provider status, transaction identifiers, terms snapshots, refunds, disputes, and fraud signals. Complete card details are handled by Paystack rather than stored by Globalee Solutions.
- Activity and communications: searches, unlocks, viewing requests, notification events, support messages, reports, appeals, moderation, and audit events.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers, timestamps, error logs, and security telemetry.
3. Why we use data
- Provide accounts, discovery, listings, payments, entitlements, viewings, and notifications.
- Verify practitioners, moderate listings, investigate reports, and protect users from fraud and abuse.
- Reconcile provider events, answer support requests, maintain auditability, and enforce policies.
- Improve reliability, accessibility, relevance, and service performance using aggregated or minimized information where practical.
- Meet tax, accounting, consumer, law-enforcement, regulatory, and other legal obligations.
Depending on the activity, processing is based on performing a contract, your consent, compliance with law, or legitimate interests such as safety, fraud prevention, service security, and accurate marketplace operations.
4. Public and protected information
Public listings may show general locality, property facts, price, media, availability, amenities, and source information. Exact addresses, precise coordinates, private contact details, viewing notes, identity documents, internal moderation evidence, and payment-provider details are not included in public discovery responses. Protected property details are disclosed only after an authorised property unlock.
5. Who receives data
- Seekers and practitioners when needed to deliver an unlock or coordinate a viewing.
- Authorized Globalee Solutions staff working in support, safety, moderation, finance, and platform administration.
- Service providers supporting hosting and database services, Paystack payment processing, transactional email through Resend, media processing, monitoring, and security.
- Professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or transaction counterparties where lawfully required or necessary to protect rights and safety.
Providers receive only the data reasonably needed for their function and are expected to protect it under contractual and legal obligations.
6. International processing
Some technology providers may process data outside Ghana. Where this occurs, Globalee Solutions uses contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the transfer and the sensitivity of the data.
7. Retention
Data is retained only as long as needed for the purpose collected and for legal, tax, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, audit, safety, and security requirements. Retention differs by record type. Expired access does not automatically erase the associated payment or audit record. Evidence under an active report, appeal, dispute, or legal hold may be retained until that matter and the applicable limitation period end.
8. Security
Globalee Solutions uses role-based access, row-level database controls, protected storage, signed upload flows, file validation, media processing, payment signature verification, audit trails, and operational monitoring. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please use a unique password and report suspicious activity promptly.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or an explanation about your personal data; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where consent is the basis; or complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission. Some requests may be limited by identity verification, another person’s rights, active safety matters, or legal retention duties.
10. Cookies and communications
See the Cookie Notice for browser storage. Service messages about security, payments, entitlements, viewings, reports, and account operation may be necessary to provide the service. Any optional marketing choice will be handled separately.
11. Contact
Send privacy requests through the channels on the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing account data.
